Are you or someone you know interested in trying yoga, but aren’t sure where to start?
Join us for Intro to Yoga, a 4-week series that teaches the foundations of yoga in a small, classroom-like setting, with other beginners!
This course, which is limited to 12 students, teaches the foundational yoga poses and their correct alignment, as well as ways to personalize the practice for specific issues or injuries. It will also touch on the essentials of yoga philosophy, meditation and breath work. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions, receive personalized feedback, and will also be given poses and breathing exercises to practice at home. Instructor Libby Whittington has taught multiple Intro to Yoga Series’ and studio classes at Stone Turtle Yoga, and has a wealth of experience teaching beginners and meeting people where they are in their yoga journey. No experience or flexibility required; all ages and body types are welcome!
This Intro to Yoga course meets on the following dates from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Higgins Lake Studio at Cross Country Ski Headquarters:
