Saturday Class Update + Exciting News!

Hello friends!

We are very excited to announce that Stone Turtle Yoga has purchased the Grayling studio space!

For some time now, we have been looking for a place to permanently serve as a home for our growing yoga community in the Grayling area. This building was by far and away the best choice based on our criteria, and with some much needed improvements, we have no doubt that the space will evolve into a gorgeous, welcoming studio for our students. We are looking forward to a continued partnership with our friends at AuSable Dance Center, who remain the primary tenants of the building, and who graciously share the space with us.

As our plans for improvements become finalized in the coming  weeks and months, we will keep you posted and let you know of developments – stay tuned! In the meantime, we thank you for your patience as we continue to work through some of our issues with the space, including adequate heat for the Saturday morning class!

What does this mean for Higgins Lake classes? Nothing! Classes will continue in Higgins Lake at the Gerrish Township Hall in the fall and winter, and the Stone Turtle Day Lodge in the spring and summer.

If you have any questions or comments about this exciting transition for STY, please don’t hesitate to email mariahfrye@gmail.com.

Saturday Empower Yoga changes to Renewal Yoga

Effective this Saturday, January 6th, Empower Yoga on Saturdays at 9:30am with Patty in Grayling will change to Renewal Yoga. In light of this time of year, ripe with opportunity for laying groundwork, re-centering, and getting back to basics, we are genuinely thrilled to offer this opportunity to reconnect to your practice in a holistic, sustainable way.

Renewal Yoga is practiced at a deliberate, mindful pace; a bit slower and more intentional than Empower Yoga. Alignment cues and silence are offered as an opportunity to learn safely but also offers continuing students a mediative approach. This class includes breath work, foundational standing and balancing poses, the occasional gentle flow, plus reclined, seated, and restorative poses for cultivating relaxation. Looking for a weekend reset? Working through an injury or trying to heal? Or maybe you’re just looking to spend some time in your body and create space, awareness and peace of mind. Join us for Renewal Yoga – it’s just the thing to foster your own personal growth and enhance your yoga practice.

Thanks to all, and Namaste 🙂
