Dearest Yogis,Well, the time has finally come…As most of you know, for years now I have talked about a potential move to Detroit. This month it will become reality. Although this message and change feels abrupt, I assure you that this decision was not an impulsive one (quite possibly the first time I’ve ever used that sentence). The Detroit seed was born in my tenth year of living in California on Sunday night, October 28, 2012 in the rioting streets of San Francisco when their Giants annihilated the Detroit Tigers in the World Series. That night I knew two things – California was not home, Michigan was; and that I was going to move to Detroit, but first make a pitstop in my hometown of Grayling for an unknown amount of time. All I knew was that I wanted to play music and teach yoga for a while. Four years went by and, mission accomplished. And as per usual in my life, I am elated and proud to look upon fulfilled intuitions and intentions and move into future dreams. What is different this time is how difficult it is to leave. My gypsy past allowed me to move hardheaded from one place to another without looking back or processing transition. This time, not the case. I feel it all very well.It is you, the Stone Turtle Yoga family, who has helped me open to this deeper sense of experiencing and knowing change; a hard layer has been melted. I am amazed by the community we have started. Your dedication, curiosity and courage is extremely inspiring and I am humbled by each and every one of you. You’ve made me realize why I teach yoga and have helped me to grow in countless ways. I can’t thank you enough! Also a huge thank you to Mariah! Thank you for taking a chance on me, for your guidance and support to help me better serve our students, for your true friendship and endless support. You’re a beacon of light and such a strong leader. We have built a space for authentic self-discovery and tenderness and I am confident that it will continue to grow. I feel much joy when I think of our continued paths and the treasures we will find along the way. I’m beyond grateful for our times together and I look forward to sharing more! You all have my heart.-Lexi
