Please arrive early to class. Leave enough time to sign in, pay if you need to, roll out your mat, and get ready for class. Late arrivals are disruptive to the class flow and are difficult to teach through.
If you arrive late and the class has already started in silent meditation, wait outside the class until the instructor has indicated that you may enter.
Please check in at the front desk before class. If you are new to class, please introduce yourself to the teacher – we appreciate the opportunity to say hello and learn your name!
Do not leave during Savasana (Final Relaxation pose). This is disruptive to those who are still and silent. If you must leave early, please inform the teacher before class that you need to leave early, then make sure you allow enough time to put your belongings away and to be out the door before the start of the group Savasana.
Please keep your cell phones off or on silent (please no vibrate) while in the studio.
Due to fragrance sensitivity and allergies, please refrain from using scents or fragrances in the studio.
Take the time to introduce yourself to other students. This supports your yoga practice and builds friendships and community. Take an interest in your fellow students.
Class Cancellations and Snow Days
When there is a snow day school cancellation in Roscommon or Grayling, the morning yoga class is also cancelled for the studio in that school district. For example, if school is closed in Roscommon, the morning Roscommon classes for that day will be cancelled. If school is closed in Grayling, the morning Grayling classes for that day will be cancelled. By noon of that day, we will announce any cancellations in the evening schedule as well.
With every class cancellation for any reason, we will send a notice to those students who are registered to receive Stone Turtle emails (sign up on our homepage). An announcement will also be made on Facebook (click to follow us). Please check the online schedule before planning to come for class, as that will always be kept up to date.
